Question adding maps to medianav 4.1.0 clio

i have followed a guide and tried to install french maps onto my clio's media nav which is on 4.1.0. i downloaded medianavtoolbox and followed the instructions but could not get the update to run on the medianav.
im new to all this so any help at all would be appreciated
the file i downloaded was iGO R3 HERE [Navteq] 2020.(Q2) EUROPE
i followed the instructions and Copy update.lgu to the car
emptied usb flash drive then got the data from the car, used medianavtoolbox to add maps but when i plug usb into the media nav nothing happens.

there is a safe and effective way to burn your medianav.
it takes place in 3 stages:

1. bootloader 4.1
2. nngnavi 4.1
3. add cards manually.
